Measuring principle
By means of specific antibodies (just like with ELISA tests), the presence of the allergen to be tested is made visible by the appearance of a line. The strip contains 3 lines: a control line that indicates whether the test has been performed correctly and a test line. High concentrations of the allergen in the sample can suppress the visibility of the test line. The line is then not or hardly visible. To make the difference between a negative result or a high concentration, there is a third line (hookline). At high concentrations, this line also disappears.
