Allergenen Consultancy has been providing support in the field of allergen management for the food industry, retailer and food service since 2003. With an enthusiastic team we provide advice and training. We also supply supporting products in the field of allergen management, such as rapid tests and materials for validation of cleaning

Allergen management is a small but important part of the quality system. We know from experience that adding allergens leads to many errors and unnecessary measures and therefore unnecessary costs or even a recall. Information from a specialist is therefore essential.

We shape the allergen policy from different angles and specializations. Our many years of experience in the field of food allergy, quality assurance, auditing, design of production lines and rooms, analysis methods, specification management, labelling, risk assessments, menu adjustments and training and motivating people guarantee a practical approach. We also offer recall guidance for allergen incidents.

Allergenen Consultancy offers a laboratory service with ELISA, PCR, sulphite, lactose (HPAEC-PAD), LC-MSMS analyses and additional techniques such as microscopic examination, particle size analysis and protein determination in oil and turbidity measurement of rinse water. Advice on choosing the right method, interpretation of results and comparison with standards (such as VITAL) is part of this service. Our network

Our network extends beyond the Netherlands and Flanders. Allergenen Consultancy is the first European VITAL trainer and training partner of it Allergen Bureau, value VITAL approach is developed and managed.

We are also part of the Food Allergy Expert Group of ILSI Europe, a European authority with scientists from the food industry and academia to improve public health.

In addition, we are regularly asked to act as an allergen expert in European allergen issues and in policy-making. This way we are always aware of the latest developments regarding legislation.
